چکیده
Two photon polymerisation using direct laser writing is a burgeoning field of research, with recent focus being placed on bringing added value to microstructures, by incorporating soft, responsive polymers. Moving the micron-scale can have profound impact such stimuli-responsive materials, whose speed actuation be increased many-fold compared their mm-scale counterparts. Here, fabrication submicron 2D photonic structures, based vapor-responsive photoresist refractive index <1.55, in visible wavelength range. The fabricated concentric spiral arrays are evaluated for feasibility as vapor sensors testing spectral and structural color reproducibility reversibility under water, ethanol, isopropanol, acetone vapors. This approach allows realization predictable uniform displays that modulated upon stimuli response. transmitted colour dry hydrated states accurately modelled. knowledge used design demonstrate structures cloaking image transformation. Such capability encryption anti-counterfeiting applications.

Vapor Responsive One-Dimensional Photonic Crystals from Zeolite Nanoparticles and Metal Oxide Films for Optical Sensing
The preparation of responsive multilayered structures with quarter-wave design based on layer-by-layer deposition of sol-gel derived Nb(2)O(5) films and spin-coated MEL type zeolite is demonstrated. The refractive indices (n) and thicknesses (d) of the layers are determined using non-linear curve fitting of the measured reflectance spectra. Besides, the surface and cross-sectional features of t...
متن کاملHybrid mesoporous colloid photonic crystal array for high performance vapor sensing.
A hybrid mesoporous photonic crystal vapor sensing chip was developed by introducing fluorescent dyes into mesoporous colloidal crystals. The sensing chip was capable of discriminating various kinds of vapors, as well as their concentrations, according to their fluorescence and reflective responses to vapor analytes.
متن کاملEnhanced chemiluminescent detection scheme for trace vapor sensing in pneumatically-tuned hollow core photonic bandgap fibers.
We demonstrate an in-fiber gas phase chemical detection architecture in which a chemiluminescent (CL) reaction is spatially and spectrally matched to the core modes of hollow photonic bandgap (PBG) fibers in order to enhance detection efficiency. A peroxide-sensitive CL material is annularly shaped and centered within the fiber's hollow core, thereby increasing the overlap between the emission ...
متن کاملTantalum(V) nitride inverse opals as photonic structures for visible wavelengths.
The development of materials with a complete photonic band gap at visible wavelengths is believed to have the potential to lead to new control over long-lived emissive excited states, single molecule lasers, and nearly lossless nanoscale waveguides. In this work we move toward that goal with the synthesis of an inverse opal thin film of Ta3N5 produced through atomic layer deposition. The highly...
متن کاملStimuli-responsive 2D polyelectrolyte photonic crystals for optically encoded pH sensing.
A versatile photonic crystal sensing motif based on a two-dimensional (2D) inverse opal monolayer of stimuli-responsive polyelectrolyte gel with tunable optical properties is reported. The photonic membrane shows prompt response to pH and can be readily read out from either its optical spectra or interference colours.
